I actually said I think he might be good for Leeds, its just ironic that our
manager gets untold flak for his lack of performance, despite saving our
club from relegation to the 2nd div - at a time when no other manager would
have touched us with a barge-pole, then gets us to the play-off final.
Basically doing better than any reasonably objective/realistic Leeds
supporter would have expected each season.
Whereas those same critics would welcome someone who had relegated their
team from the premiership, and then despite having a chairman who allowed
him to keep his best players and strengthen the team, does a worse job than
our little manager.
Put it another way, if a decent motivational manager who has the financial
backing of his chairman, has a team that didn't get embarrassed in the
premiership etc etc "only" finishes 6th, and gets knocked out of the
playoffs in the semis, then why should we expect our clueless/crap manager
to do any better than that? Not only that, he wasn't even sacked by Jordan,
he only left because of family reasons. So I wonder what Mr Jordan would
think of a manager like Kevin Blackwell who did better than his own manager?
Why is it that those of us who think he has actually done OK are seen as
being in the minority or as idiots?
