that's great. Thanks in advance for your offer. When you don't have the
needed time now, no problem, just come back when you see fit. Then we
can explain in more details how to do the webpage translation.

Going forward, there is probably a better way to do this direct from the
html for someone who know coding. But it only really took me about half a
day to translate this in a text editor with no prior knowledge, on a basic
workstation.
This language was pretty easy to do, because it shares roots with the
english language. I cannot imagine doing this for some of the more exotic
languages...

I have just looked through how all the localizations have been done. It
seems that many of them have only the main page (ie https://
www.openoffice.org/ko/<http://www.openoffice.org/ko/> ) and the downloads
page modified ie (https://www.openoffice.org/ja/download/index.html).
There are certainly some greats exceptions to these, where many of the
sections have be translated, so props to those whom have translated
previously.
It seems that the best organization to the pages is https://
www.openoffice.org /ABC/ rather than what some translations have done, ie
the FR has links such as https:// www.openoffice.org/Participer<
http://www.openoffice.org/Participer>
I have done my initial investigation using the site Website Links Count
Checker - Find External & internal Links (smallseotools.com)<
https://smallseotools.com/website-links-count-checker/> to find the links
coming from their respective pages.
I will just need the link to the source, but I assume I can just inspect
the en-US page and copy-paste to create the translations...
This will actually be quite a simple task to complete. Thank God.
To start with I can do the 'MAIN PAGE' and the 'DOWNLOADS PAGE'
Then, the next stage would/could be,

I doubt it is wise to translate the "Copyright & License" pages at this
time.

update them. They will likely require some proof reading by a native
speaker, but hopefully will be good enough to allow understanding.

When these webpages are re-newed then they have to be updated with the
default set of pages. Just updating and translating the existing pages
is not enough.
I will start with esperanto (eo) for a test run. So where do I find the
original source to translate from?
