Funny things about S.O.

We use external SO units to catch the incoming lines
and use a "free" CO on the KSU to access the SOU.

Things that aren't immediately obvious....

We only allow a few "execs" access to the SOU co port
by setting CO OUT -Enable (605/6), so that's all it
takes! Not quite!

You must make sure that CO is not programmed as a
button on ALL other exts. - They quickly figure if
that "new" line is lit, someone is listening to
something ;-)

Make sure an extension used for SO has no DSS button
programmed anywhere. Lets see, one co in use, and two
exts... one of 'em (boss) must be listenin...

We hide a 2500 in a closet or desk drawer, using a
spare xdp, that is only used for SO.

And don't use a speakerphone for SO, you'll be
discovered in hours.

Put a "MOH" sticker on the SO module, and remove the
"in use" led.

Make sure "right to monitor" business communications
is in the employee handbook.
