My post was directed primarily at "nose draggers" that use brakes to steer and may be dragging a brake at near liftoff speed to maintain directional control.  I've never flown a nose dragger with a castoring nose wheel so I have no idea the brake usage needed.   Like you i never use brakes for directional control and only limited use at the end of a landing roll.

After a short 60 mile flight to an EAA chapter grass strip and then a 25 mile flight to another airport for some Gumbo I've decided that I'm not ready to give up the KR just yet for a low and slow.   Given the fact that I can't afford to house, feed, saddle, and ride two horses I'll be putting the Challenger project up for sale sometime soon.  I'm not sure I'm allowed the "KR grin" flying a Challenger anyway.
