I made my fuselage 44 inches wide also.? I slowly bent the sides with the plywood attached. (over 2 days). They lifted off the table in the middle higher than the wood blocks I had as a spreader. I would use some at least 2" if not 3" high next time.? I did not break anything but the sounds of cracking was something that made me nervous.? I presumed it was some of the 5/8" pieces coming loose from the ply in some places.? I did not find any upon my inspection but did fillet some flox on some that look suspicious.? I can't remember the width of the bottom but I made it proportionately wider also. Mine is not flying but I have the canopy and seats in and can sit two people with out needing a shoe horn to get in.? Good thing to because I started about 5 years ago and have gained about 6 pounds each year.? I think it will be easier to put me on a diet rather than my plane.? Now if I just had an engine and some wings.
