I said I would post a reply from the builder of my 44 inch fuselage. I
bought. Brian sold the KR2ss fuse to build an RV.

Hi Phil,

I was talking to Ron Slender recently and he mentioned that you were working
on the KR. You may have noticed that I made both top and bottom longerons a
little larger than the standard size and I bent them slowly over a period of
a few days. I made sure that they were very wet while bending them, I think
I used hot water initially, and before any further bending I again made sure
it was as wet as I could get it and gradually increased the bend. It didn't
take all that long. I had a spray bottle which I would use to spray heaps of
water onto the timber.

I hear you have a few hours up now on the VW engine and that it is running
quite well. The RV is going along slowly due to conflicting interests and
activities but I plan to start on it again very soon. The wings are the next
stage to be built.

All the best for the New Year.

Regards,
Brian B.
