A lot depends on which engine, which mount, what accessories are stuck on the back of it, etc. If you are building all of this stuff yourself, the sky is the limit, assuming you keep your CG in the right place. If you are buying it all, you have a lot more homework to do, but looking at current installations in the builders logs on www.krnet.com will give you a huge headstart. >And to finish, has anyone widened the KR2S fuselage? Just about anybody who intends to carry a passenger in comfort has widened the fuselage. The stock width is unacceptable to most, and to me, and I'm a pretty skinny guy. Mine is about 3" wider at the shoulders. Aparently you haven't read the stuff at http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/kopinion.html . If not, I'm sure you will find some answers there, as well as on the web sites of other builders and flyers. As for 6'-1" people, if you are building this plane, you can make it any height you want at the canopy. There are folks on this list that are over well over 6-4 that are building KR2s/Ss, and I believe a KR1 builder who's something like 6-8. You simply build it as tall as it needs to be. Although my plane was built from scratch, I'm pretty sure it's a simple matter to raise the RR canopy as well.
