You can buy the old used pen plotters pretty cheap these days. Everyone has switched to the newer inkjet plotters and there are pen plotters collecting dust all over the world.

Don't have access to one, but I figure a router is just a plotter with a Z axis ;) My next project will be a plotter, though.
