Last night I mentioned that I didn't think there was a big difference in
flying a KR and a C-150. I'll agree with Mark Jones that things happen a
little faster....for example, I do a complete pattern in 2 minutes when I'm
doing touch and goes (did 12 yesterday). I was climbing out yesterday and a
Mooney in the pattern told me to "go ahead...you look to be a lot faster
than me". I had to smile at that one! But having said that, that's not a
huge adjustment. I had trouble landing on my first few flights because my
ASI was off by a mile and I was trying to land at 100 mph or so. Now that I
can fly the thing, I only get nervous with a 20+ mph gusty crosswind, and I
think if I had tri-gear, that number would go up considerably. I have to
admit that if I didn't have a speed brake (split flap), things would be a
lot more interesting!

Jones asked me about the rest of that tri-gear sentence that I wrote last
night, but to tell you the truth, I can't remember what it was now. It was
funny though, whatever it was...
