I agree with every aspect that you present Mark and your right. This can 
go on forever
the only way is to get some altitude and misuse all you controls and see 
what
happens for one particular aircraft. In cruises flight feet on the floor 
and in slow
flight you may have to correct for yaw. Rudder is only to induce and 
control yaw,
