--- Comment #18 from Tyson Tan <tyson...@mail.com> --- If you have to put this this way, then just let us know about your priority -- who are your target users? A) The old time programmers (less than 1%) B) The majority of normal people who have been trained over 20 years with modern UI design (more than 99%) In the end of the day it is really your decision to make. If you make the decision to stay behind and to serve a niche position, that's totally fine! But just let us know about your philosophy, so that we as users can decide and act accordingly. It pains me to say this, but nowadays an overwhelmingly larger portion (99%) of human population is using either Windows, macOS or something similar. The world has already moved on 20 years ago, which is the core point we have been trying so hard to make across here. Yes you may defend kwin's status quo by asserting X11 standard to be a standard that came before anyone else. But that standard is not the other 99% of people are following. If KDE Plasma set its goal as a multi-purpose desktop environment, it only makes sense for kwin to change to help it achieve its goal. But if you decide otherwise, again, it's really your decision to make and it's totally fine. Just let use know about it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
