--- Comment #9 from Tyson Tan <tyson...@mail.com> --- I don't expect things can be fixed now, since the decision has been made. I'm sorry but I think the solutions you mentioned seem to be way too far-fetched. I want to be honest here and make sure you understand my point: Yes, I AM putting Krita/GIMP/Inkscape/Blender's need above other applications. And for good reasons. I think you need to weight how important ALT is to Krita/GIMP/Inkscape/Blender, how important these applications are, then how important META is to those other applications you mentioned, and how important those applications are. Can we draw digital art or make graphics design under Linux without Krita/GIMP/Inkscape/Blender? I don't think so. Can these applications work without ALT? Some can't, some can but not without huge function/efficiency loss. And if we don't solve this, we'll lose digital artists as our KDE Plasma users and as allies. And digital artists has considerable influence over their followers. I don't know those META using applications you were talking about, and I don't know which function they are assigning to META. So can somebody educate me about them, like how important these applications are, and how important the META key is to them? I'm sure you don't want to break Photoshop under Windows just because a particular image viewer is using PS's keys for a minor function! A seemingly "fair" decision does not necessarily lead to good user experience. On top of that, my concern being: are we making the decision AFTER discussion and investigation have been made, or have we jumped into conclusion in less than one day, assuming the status quo to be the ideal solution just because it's easier one to make? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
