I'm altering a pattern just now. The book _Fit for Real People_ by
Pati Palmer and Marta Alto (ISBN 0-935278-43-5) is *hopefully* going
to solve such problems for me. It's been pretty clear & helpful in
figuring out just how far from the standard i am.
