Eye contact is a funny thing. Since a friend of mine pointed out that I
often tend to glance at other things as I talk, I've started paying
attention to it and I've learned that certain people really do get very
nervous when you make significant eye contact with them, wheras others will
notice but it doesn't seem to phase them too much (until you say something
to make them more conscious of it). I wonder if it has more to do with the
lookee than the looker... and thus, there really is no "right way" to do
things.
