I had to learn not to do this. I used to be a big eye-contact person
but I discovered around college that it scared people off so I learned
not to make eye contact. I suppose I should unlearn that now that I'm
not trying to pass for a guy anymore. (Is it ok for women to make eye
contact with strangers?)
