Instead of Oracle, why don't we discuss free software database systems
their features with regard to Oracle, how to migrate to them and what
pitfalls lie in wait for the unwary?

Samba is a multi-platform product now. No issues with discussing it
anywhere. I hear that Samba implements some parts of the SMB protocol
better than MS products :)

Why not discuss XMMS, Ogg and MP3 instead of just XMMS? Don't we need
a free (as in freedom) encoding standard? Shouldn't we be encouraging
people to move to that standard?

I personally have no issues with discussing any of the topics you have
listed. On the other hand, I do believe that Linux-Delhi should not
be used as a forum for officially promoting proprietary software and
technologies. I hope the difference is clear.

Regards,
