Other reasons are mostly the lack of details your questions provide. Imagine

1) fully understand your problem
2) reproduce your problem
3) think of a solution

No one sits in front of your screen or has access to your shell.

None of my questions would require the reader to do so. The question was
explicitly: "Is there a way to enable debugging for LDAP?" Because the query
as defined by me in the configuration works from the command line. So I need to
determine what the Icingaweb2 UI is doing that is different.

No. But if you believe it is a bug, open one. But keep in mind - if you're not
providing details, or any feedback upon questions, it might get closed/rejected.

Thanks for being rude to someone who sent explicit questions with no ambiguity
and didn't get a reply.

Your tone wasn't nice in the first place neither it is now. I'd suggest you'll
start over and be less demanding and more patient in the future.

Just wanting to help here.

Obviously Michael is the best support resource on this list and he doesn't use
LDAP which is apparently why LDAP questions go unanswered. I asked much of the
same 2 times on this list and only heard crickets but I didn't offer any
attitude. I certainly understood Jo's frustration but I also recognize that
this is essentially a free product. The result was my conclusion that icinga2
was not ready for primetime and I have shutdown the test icinga VM and have
been directed to try Zenoss (which is obviously a different beast).
