Wikis can be really useful, and can be a real mess. I think that as long as there is a good gatekeeper (or team of gatekeepers) to keep spammers out, they can work well. All of the major wiki platforms have most of the features that have been mentioned: version history (and implicitly the ability to revert), inter-linking pages, tagging, access control, access levels, formatting, etc. I do not think that a completely moderated system will work for two reasons: 1) it's a lot of overhead for the moderators. 2) I think it makes the barrier to entry too high for people who want to contribute. >I suggest taggable free submissions that can be organized post-factum using >something to scan the contributions automatically. How is this different from pages/snippets/code from having arbitrary tags, suitable for later organization? -- Jesse Becker NHGRI Linux support (Digicon Contractor) _______________________________________________ Help-cfengine mailing list Help-cfengine@cfengine.org https://cfengine.org/mailman/listinfo/help-cfengine
