I was more thinking along the lines of visual code appearance, i.e. the use of tabs, indents, whitespace, line length and comments as well as how to mark and divide sections. A quite sensible example would be the article by Christian Pearce (2005) that I was referring to earlier [1]. If that is something that is generally desired, I'd gladly lend a hand in this.
