Well maybe i better deal with all the issues I get. 1) when I start gnucash, I pretty much always get the error message the that file could not be found. It is in the history list, do I want to remove it? I say yes, and then have to open it via the path file/open...etc. Now this morning when I go to do this, it says the file is already open. Gnucash could not obtain the lock for /media/filepath.gnucash. I deleted the .LCK file and selected my file, opened it, and i'm in. But that seems to be a glitch.
2) when I tried to run a reconciliation report, I got a blank screen and the second time I attempted it, the computer froze. Now that I am preparing to open gnucash and try running some other kind of report, I am recalling linux advice to send a crash report, which I have found but not yet sent anywhere. I have always been able to run the reports for which I've saved configurations.... and either it's taking a long time, or ...it's blank. I did a saved one which worked last year at tax time. But as of yet, the computer hasn't (yet) crashed. I will send this email and try to get to the #irc channel to see if I can communicate real time there, and eventually I guess navigate through the process of sending an error report to a linux forum. I will watch for your response! Thanks, Julie On Wed, Oct 7, 2026 at 12:34 AM Wm Tarr <[email protected]> wrote: > Is the problem that you are getting blank reports recently?
