The latter works best on the deeper thinkers who tend toward nihilism in their ideals, but still get up every day and garden or sling pints to the bougies. But my ability to continually reconstruct comforting blather hinges on my ontological commitment to an open universe. No matter what size or type of slab you pour over the grass, it (or maybe some dandelions) will eventually punch through it.
