Wish Intel would create a BIOS emulation layer for booting DOS/FreeDOS via EFI/UEFI. Ridiculous EFI/UEFI has no emulation layer for booting older operating systems!
Also wishing for better comprehensible EFI/UEFI documenation. (Could be just me getting older, but documentation seems lacking in some sense.) However, all likely outside the whelm of FreeDOS. As of now, think other non-bootable operating systems via EFI/UEFI will likely become significantly less known, due to the forced submission of EFI/UEFI. Well, those are my thoughts about moving forward. > On Sun, Oct 27, 2024 at 04:47:57PM -0500, Jim Hall via Freedos-user wrote: >There have been enough changes during the FreeDOS monthly test >releases that I think we should be moving towards FreeDOS 1.4. > > ... > >Thoughts? _______________________________________________ Freedos-user mailing list Freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-user
