Maybe the rain here in Juneau is the culprit!..
I gave it a try. First try prints the postscript test page. Then it
simply keeps sending files to quue. same '#lpc stat' message re:printing
disabled. 

Restarting lpd has no effect. Logging out of wimdowmanager and
restarting allows me to do it one more time then the same thing happens.

Are the system calls 'listen(2)' and 'accept(2)' getting screwed up
somewhere? As discussed in the lpd man pages? Beats me what to do if
they are.

Even Printtool seems to lock up after awhile.
Perhaps I will try rpm -e printtool-3.40-6mdk and then reinstalling if I
get no further on this today?

I am completely stumped :-(
