Good Evening,
Happy shortest day of the year. Tomorrow is 4 seconds longer :)
The sun is more active this week. A large sunspot group is moving into
view. It may have been the area tossing CMEs from the far side of the
sun. Another CME hit the earth a few days ago. It caused some aurora.
The hiss rate will be higher this week.

Tweaking the competition between a herbivore's camouflage gene and a
carnivore's eye sight gene is similar to biasing a single stage in an
amplifier. First move the signal into the active region, then return
some of the output back to the input to stabilize things. Clipping
throws the ecosystem into large population swings, with the carnivores
eventually dying off. A more equitable competition will calm things down.
