I believe it matters that not only project name but also release version 
matches between source and minified code.

I therefore believe packages shipping minified code must ensure that 
corresponding source - i.e. same version - is available in Debian.  And 
make sure to adapt if that source is later dropped from the archive 
(e.g. by upgrading the jquery package to newer upstream release).


NB! I am not suggesting to actually do such tedious tracking, only 
acknowledging that such approach is valid¹.  What I suggest is the far 
simpler approach: strip minified code from source)
