Hi,     The final setup is quite nice, things got more complicated because a
few bolts were directly against the bulkhead ( poor fit  for a C&C ) so
impossible to use a socket to undo the bolts , had to grint the bulkhead a bit
with Dremel and also a mirror was mandatory. My setup is not a bolt-on because
I wanted to have all controls at the helm so by playing with teh screws and
plates that were in the kit I was able to set it up without buying more screws
. I also had to raise the rail with a 1/4 in teak so everything would move
easily . Track was good length. I had to use Harken block to have the required
90 degrees   for singlehandling.
In the end, very clean setup with nothing lying on the cockpit floor under
sail.I will need to take pictures to show, this saturday ( still working on my
bowsprit/anchor holder, lots of work! )  :-)

Hi Sylvain,

I’m looking to upgrade the original pin stop traveler on my27 mkIII. How well
did the Lewmar fit down in the original track recess anddoes it clear the
cockpit lockers on either side no problem? Would you happen tohave any pictures?

Hi, you may also want to take a look at Lewmar, their #1 model is fine on my 27
( up to 36 feet supposedly), it runs on Torlon bearings an requires no
drilling. Price was 400 can$ 3 years ago.Sylvain C&C 27 mkIII

Harken Big Boat Traveler system, if you have a spare G-note or two lying in
between the cushions on your couch. The original Schaefer stuff is obsolete at
best, and not worth repairing.

My track slide is very difficult to move. The wheels are worn and do not turn
easily any more. Has anyone found a suitable replacement system or parts to
repair the existing system?
