Another one of the reasons I converted mine to the clamp mount. I can clip it
to the hatch coaming to blow down into the V-berth. I put a 12 volt receptacle
in the V-berth.

I really like the ability to move the fan anywhere I want. I can put it near
the galley when cooking to disperse the heat and alcohol fumes. It just made
sense to me not to hard mount the fans.
Again, the fans remain stowed in a cabinet most of the time. They only come
out when I need them.
