Bill - I tried that, and even did my usual 'waaaay overboard'
approach. I built little mahogany brackets, and mounted the first one
on the cabin top with a totally cool aluminum anodized swivel mount from
McMaster-Carr. I spent some time finding the highest volume air flow
fan from the biggest computer stores in Silicon Valley (where you can
find entire aisles dedicated to computer fans,) bought five different
brands and did a comparison. Then I made a few dozen extra mahogany
brackets and mounts, and decided to wait until I lived through a Mexican
summer before making a final call.
It gets so hot during the summer that I can drink two gallons of water
and only a pint makes it through my kidneys. The rest is sweat. And
that little computer fan provided no relief. Hanging two caframos
overhead on high power works, and then I jump overboard about once an hour.
