Call West System, 866-937-879 they are extremely helpful and I am sure
will turn you on to a few sources.

Mead gave me a name back in the 70’s for a place in Michigan where we got
some very nice Birch Marine Grade Plywood, ¼” and 1/8” they recommended for
their DN Iceboat plans. I am sure they have other woods as well.

Subject: Stus-List C&C 37+ Overhead Panels

Dammit Ken,

You just gave me #1 on my winter project list. That looks amazing!

If I didn't love ya, I'd hate ya.

Anyone know of a good resource for 3/16" teak or marine plywood?

All the best,

Edd

The plywood may be mahogany, I'm not sure now...

Yup, that's our interior. The panels are made of a 3/16" thick teak veneer
plywood, cut using the old plastic panels as patterns. We replaced the two
next to the mast, the one over the galley sink and the one over the walkway
to the aft cabin. We left the white plastic one in the heads as it is over
the shower. They are still held up with velcro, it seems to hold very well.

We took out the florescents that were above them and put in down lights in
the wood panels instead, an easy job as the wiring doesn't need to change.
The down lights used to be halogen but we put Marine Beam LED inserts in
them this year.

Ken,

Is that interior your boat? I'm especially fascinated/interested in those
(wood?) ceiling panels on each side of the mast and over the support railing
in the galley. What are they made of? What make are those bright lights on
either side of the mast?

I have some white translucent panels on mine, which are cracked in places,
kinda ugly, and they have lights underneath. Always wanted to replace them.
There are two more, too - one above the galley in the walkway to the aft
cabin and one in the head.

All the best,

Edd

Of course I'm with Josh and Edd on this. The 37+ is the last and best of
the Rob Ball C&C's.

(Yes Rob did the 34+ just after but the 34+ is just a baby 37+)

Oh, and if you have never seen the aft cabin on a 37+ it looks like this:

My wife is quite fond of that cabin...

The rest of the interior ain't too shabby either:
