I think my 40 favorites would be different boats entirely, but I enjoyed checking the list. I keep folders of pictures of hundreds of different sailboat designs, and just wasn't impressed with the quality of the Cruising World article. The criteria for selection was confusing and the range of sizes too great. A web based list should have had many more pictures and links to more info on each model. A few boats had a sketch instead of a decent photogragh.
I'd like to see a list of 40 of the most successful designs, based on number of units sold, from 22 to 40 feet. That would be telling. Happy with my present boat.
