Nit sure what you call a small boat but on my 35 the Titan handle works just
fine and has done for years.I expect that one would work well on a C&C 110
just fine too.if not then I would suggest a better winch, 3 speed maybe,
might be in order

the Titans have their uses. They are cheap, light and disposable. For
lower load jobs and for small boats they are fine for just about
ecverything. I mean the 8" handles though as I agree the longer ones would
flex too much. On a larger boat they would be good only for adjusting
things like outhauls, vangs and rolling in a jib ....

Back to little boats. The smaller 8 iinch Titans good for halyards etc ...
also for cabintop grinding of spin sheets, guy etc if necessary. Likely
fine for genoas esp on 25 ft boats or less with fractional rigs. MAsthead
with big genoas I am not sure. I have used the Titan floating handles for
years on my Niagara 26 and now on J/27. No issues at all. I always use the
8 inch handles as well. Would love to get an 8" Lewmat locking handle but
there are so many other places to spend $100 that it has not moved up the
list that high yet. However I have been looking and am planning one this
year which will relegate the other three handles to the pit

Not sure if mine are the same brand - but bought from West - different
colors - but I have used this type for at least three years on my 35mkiii
genoa primaries without breaking them

I have one of these:

It floats, it locks, it's red and it doesn't chip the gelcoat when dropped.
