Sorry - not C&C related but sailing related I have taken on the responsibility to try to come up with a Communications Plan to be invoked should there be an incident involving serious injury or worse to one of our members or guests while at the Club (on-water or on-shore)
Severn Sailing Association which suffered that awful tragedy a couple of years ago, was HIGHLY praised for the way that they handled the communication to other members of the Club, the staff, the relatives and the public. It seems from reading the reports that came out later, Severn did not have a written Communication Plan, but did everything right nonetheless. I am trying to get a plan documented so that should my Club be involved in a nasty accident, we will not be totally reliant on the commonsense of the individuals, but have a plan that can be at least referenced. As I hate to re-invent any wheels, I was wondering if any of the C&C Listers might have access to a plan that I can customize for our circumstances. Any pointers will be much appreciated.
