We had them on a J-24 I raced on. They are neat. The ability to move the 
instrument heads around is nice - we had two dual displays on the mast, then 
would bring one back to the bulkhead while heading downwind, so we could see it 
better.

The only negative was that every so often we would get interference from other 
electronics. But it was seldom and went away quickly.

They are older versions, and that problem may have been solved.

The solar cells seemed to keep them up, so the only thing that ran off the boat 
battery was the 'computer' and the fluxgate compass. The rest are wireless, 
which is very handy.

If I were starting over, I would install them.
