Read the fine print. I am a big fan of Lenovo and Dell since I know exactly what I am getting. Of course if you go with Zareason or System76, you also know that the hardware works with Linux. Personally I have had the worst experiences with Compaq and HP laptops, but as a rule I would try to avoid nVidia. Recent ATI and Intel should be good. Of course before actually buying it is probably a good idea to do some research. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkqKSgcACgkQwRXgH3rKGfMQ8ACfeMjrc2UzsmtJI2qgZFkEFHZB fNEAnjZ7lvsAkvygPug/1RZ9bY1F5I2J =8sHV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
