I completely disagree with your mis-characterization and invite you to
read again what I had maintained:
- I had implored that technical arguments alone should decide
technical issues, not "who's who".
- I made clear that I had asked dumb questions, and that I don't
consider myself too smart to read what'd been put out already. I made
a clear distinction between a newbie who'd ask dumb questions (and
explicitly included myself in that category), and a "who's who" from
elsewhere demanding major changes outright.
- If this is going to turn into a who's against whom (I made it clear
time and again I wasn't against Steve Yegge personally but against his
"yes language" *features* push, had it come from a Mr firstName
lastName I would've still voiced the same technical concern and titled
it accordingly), I regret that I do not have the time for that.
