While I heartily agree, and recommend ClamAV to anyone within earshot when
the subject comes up, I think there's a certain amount of confusion with
regards to what each version is capable of.

And, frankly, even though I read this list every day, I'm still not
entirely clear on what the CVS version does that 0.65 can't. Perhaps if a
very concise list, just hitting on the MAJOR points, were included on the
web site, it would clear up a lot of confusion.

Obviously, 0.65 is more likely to be more stable and you're taking a
gamble if you go for the CVS...this is true with most software, but it
would be good to know what you're going to get out of rolling the dice
with the CVS. If it's nothing big, then you know to wait for the next
stable release...but if it's something like "catches X virus while 0.65
doesn't", then that's a tradeoff you need to know about.

Also, we have to remember that not everyone reads this list all the time,
particularly new users, and while a changelog is the most accurate way to
determine what's what, it's not very friendly. Think about this from the
standpoint of being a new user and trying to figure out which version you
want to install.

Maybe if the site just had a "recommended" download, with a very short
explanation, it would help clear things up.
