FWIW, I find the combination of Firefox and the uBlock Origin
extension stops me seeing most of them. I also have Privoxy installed
and configured, but I think nobody tests it any more in Ubuntu. It
doesn't seem to work in 22.04 or 24.04.
To complete the setup, I always install those three extensions:
µBlock Origin, NoScript and Cookie Autodelete.
