That might be. However all these files are unused at the moment, and have probably been for the last eleven years. I can however deduce the need for a file in the top-level directory containing something like ``If you want to work on the Mach kernel's core or system dependent parts or ..., be sure to reset your CVS checkout to the revision `gnumach-1-branch-before-...' and have a look at the files in i386/pc/, ...''.
