Katrina was only a Cat III storm when it hit New Orleans. Cat III storms have been threatening New Orleans every few years. For the last 25 years of following hurricanes, since I lived on the Gulf Coast, I have been hearing that NO is an accident waiting to happen. The fact that it finally happened does not affect global warming. Further, while the death of <2000 people was truly tragic, it pales in comparison to other deaths due to natural causes. Wasn't the tsunami that killed hundreds of thousands within a year of that date? Dan M. _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
