I expect the maxvol and maxvol2 tests to fail, but the migration jobs should 
not fail.

Could you set:

   export REGRESS_DEBUG=1

and run the migration-job-test then send me the output?

By the way, the migration tests are all working here on SuSE 10.2/SQLite3 and 
CentOS 5/MySQL.
