Yeah, I noticed the latter point just after sending the proposal. (I recalled there was a reason why it didn't work but not what it was, forgot to ask, and concluded I was mistaken.) I think the general case is still true though - the people who now have a Violet but not a Transparent can't extend the time for which the Violet contributes to the Transparent. It is true that the way the Transparent Ribbon works is counterintuitive (clearly), although it hadn't occurred to me that that could be considered a bug. I think the rule would probably need extensive rewriting to remove it without breaking anything else, but I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to that. For what it's worth, though, there are non-gameplay reasons too; it occurred to me I would be *actually* annoyed on a real-life level, rather than just in the context of the game, if it had been an Indigo Ribbon, because a past Indigo Ribbon of mine was obtained via scam - which is considered a breach of etiquette, as that's what Black is for - and I've been intending at some point to deliberately produce a thesis without claiming the ribbon, to even the balance (an opportunity that obviously rarely arises). I want to make sure that doesn't happen in the future. ~qenya
