*Sigh* R2156 doesn't say anything at all on what CAN or CANNOT be done.  
It says what *is*.  And R754 says "if it says it is, it is" and this
overrules Mother May I which says it CAN be changed to something it 
isn't.

Remember, that that is is that that is not is not is not that it it is.
