We specifically voted out "service" type punishments and "equity for criminal activity" (e.g. make up for a crime by doing a service) with the judicial reforms back in '07. Thus, I think we should strictly stick to defined punishments rather than complicate them with pledges etc. (or at least if pledges are used privately, their existence should not impact the judges' sentencing decisions). Maybe we should just go back to Blots. -Goethe
