I don’t have any direct access to repeating firearms and not quick access to some antique single shot bolt action 22 cal rifles.
I don’t want to have that as an option forcing me to think of perhaps better options. Hope I never regret this but I have made it this far without needing to shoot anyone. As far as owning a gun in Chicago, I believe most of those rules are set by the state. Illinois requires a FOID card. I’m not aware of any prohibition against OWNING a gun in the City of Chicago. I don’t believe open carry is allowed. Concealed carry is allowed with a FOID card but prohibited in schools, bars and on CTA trains. Business owners can post a state approved sign saying guns are not allowed in their establishment. Bars (consumption-on-premises establishments) are required to post such a sign.
