it used to be a weapon could be transported in the same container as the
ammunition, but ammunition has to be separate from the weapon in the
container. and since the word is container, a garbage bag is sufficient.
glove boxes, trunks and center consoles are also containers, IIRC that was
based on the domicile protections of a vehicle. you could also bring a
firearm to a school parking lot and transport it from passenger
compartment, visible, to the trunk as long as it was an uninterrupted trip.

I never tested that one because it's a good way to get aired out by a hot
cop fancy on his wireless hoke puncher
