Haha, when I was in elementary school, Mexico and Canada were our neighbors and
friends (and Russia was our enemy). I think that was the Mister Rogers period
of history. Won’t you be my neighbor?

hopefully, musks doge thing looks at the funding waste and recommends gutting
all funding and recommends enacting legislation banning any and all government
funding for any internet.

Hopefully Carr guts any and all internet related reporting requirements and
acknowledges the fact the FCC never had any authority to enforce any of it,
acknowledges that the requirements imposed did generate damages so the class
action lawsuits could be imposed

Then hopefully he sends everybody home, locks the door at the FCC and tells me
what window they want the molotovs fo go in first

While theyre deciding whether they need new facilities or can operate remotely,
everyone is fired and has to reapply through doge contracted cost cutter hiring
agents.

And also, maybe we bomb canada some

I see this in Politico "Carr has repeatedly pushed for a more aggressive plan
to free up wireless spectrum for the private sector” and wonder what that
means, aside from auctioning it all off to VZ/ATT/etc., will we get any without
billions to spend?

What is the source of your appreciation for Carr? Is it something solid like a
variety of specific policy proposals he has talked about or is it simply
because he said things favorably of your preferred political candidate?

Neither party is really all that great for small operators. There's a Venn
Diagram of sorts of things that are for and against small ISPs with both
parties, with neither party really taking home the prize for best.
