Extensive article from Ars
Technica.https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2024/11/trumps-fcc-chair-is-brendan-carr-who-wants-to-regulate-everyone-except-isps/I
do however consider the author Jon Brodkin to have a chip on his shoulder when
it comes to ISPs.I had forgotten about Trump not renominating Michael O'Rielly,
who we considered a friend of WISPs. I remember hearing him speak at
WISPAmerica. Kind of a nerd but definitely pro small business. I don't think he
was as ambitious or politically attuned as Pai.---- Original Message ----From:

Last I heard, Tiktok had some kind of deadline, which they were

EVs. I do not know whether Elon cares or not. I was pretty sure
OMT thought they were evil, but when he hooked up with Elon, maybe
he's going to change hit mind?
As far a BEAD is concerned, I was always under the impression
free money was good. Who knows?

      It?s hard to
keep track, like I can?t remember are they going to ban
          Tiktok, or save it?
      ?
      And are EVs
          good, or bad?
      ?
      And what if
all the fiber techs are illegal immigrants?
      ?
      As far as
BEAD, even without a DOGE department, a lot of people might
agree that BEAD is way too big and a waste of taxpayer money.?
But is it too late to get the genie back in the bottle??
Normally I would think so.? But the next administration is
promising a lot of things that I would normally think are too
outside the box, so maybe BEAD could get cancelled or at least
          get a severe haircut.
