Thanks. I am going with nginx. Already had apache up and running for many months.
The slices are way out of date (and the site has bad visuals, is hard to navigate and search despite being a volunteer effort by a community member). The cookbook is better but contains obvious errors (symbolic links setup to refer to wrong directories). Still it is useful and clear. I am checking the forum for new news and suggestions.
