I had the same problem after installing RH 7.2 with the default options. Install time one can choose for high, medium, low and no security. Default is medium. After re-installing with no security, it works. Since the machine does not need any security, I leave it this way.
A (less likely) difference between my installs was that I used gnome the first time and kde the second time for display manager.
