Howdy All, I tried Glenn's suggestion regarding turning off XP's firewall. (Thanks Glenn :-) ) I checked my settings, and the firewall was turned off already. I do run ZoneAlarm Pro, but I doubt it is the source of the problem because I am running ZoneAlarm Pro with the same settings I had when I was sucessfully using VNC under Windows 98 SE.
Regarding the legality of running VNC on Windows XP, I do not interpret the license agreement to proclude the use of VNC. (But it actually doesn't matter because I own multiple XP Professional licenses.)
